Buyer Protection
At Artelyara, we believe collectors should bid with confidence. Every order on our platform is backed by a comprehensive buyer protection program designed to ensure you receive exactly what you expect. There are no additional fees charged to buyers — the price you see is the price you pay. Our platform is funded by a commission on artist sales.
When you win an auction or complete a purchase, your payment is processed through our payment provider and held by Artelyara until the order is fulfilled. Artists are paid after you confirm receipt of the artwork and it matches the listing description. This protects both parties: buyers know funds are not paid out until delivery is acknowledged, and artists know payment is in place before they ship.
If you do not confirm receipt or raise a dispute within 14 days of delivery, the order is automatically marked as completed and the artist becomes eligible for payout.
If the artwork you receive differs materially from its listing description — including condition, dimensions, medium, or authenticity — you may open a dispute within 7 days of receiving the work. Our team reviews each dispute, examining the listing, photographs, and communications between both parties, and works with both sides to reach a fair resolution.
While a dispute is open, funds remain held and are not paid out to the artist until the case is resolved.
Full refunds may be issued when an artwork is confirmed to be significantly not as described, when an artist fails to ship within the agreed timeframe, or when an artwork arrives damaged due to inadequate packaging. Refunds are coordinated through our payment provider once a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favor; timing depends on the provider's processing times.
Partial refunds may be offered when the discrepancy is minor and both parties agree to a resolution. Refunds are not available for buyer's remorse or changes of mind after winning an auction, as all bids are binding commitments.
If you encounter any issues with a order, listing, or another user, please report it immediately through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Early reporting helps us resolve issues quickly and maintain the trust our community depends on.
